Sangeeta studied microbial biotechnology and researched on dietary antioxidants from cyanobacteria in the late 90s and found herself focused on nutrition and gut health later because of the widespread misinformation in this regard. Native cuisines and produce remain her prime interest while she connects the dots between the evolutionary wisdom of nutrition, gut health and metabolism.

Being a living- green enthusiast she supports local and seasonal foods. Her deep interest in ecology has resulted in evolving a rewarding connect between farming methods, human nutrition, regenerative earth systems, food market and culinary cultures.

She works closely with farmers and environmentalists and propagates the well-being that fresh food brings. She has been closely associated with farmers to help them connect with the right markets, with conscious food businesses to develop organic products and to reach out to the conscious consumer base. She has been working extensively to create widespread awareness in consumers about the inter-connect between the food systems and human health.

Through her popular wellness-oriented menus using local and seasonal produce while adapting to sustainable practices in the business, she has made her distinctive mark in the hospitality industry. She also works with food brands and restaurants developing recipes for food products suited for higher shelf life without chemical preservation.

She has authored a few books and written articles for mainstream print and digital publications. Through her blogs Healthfood Desivideshi and Banaras ka Khana she creates awareness about healthy choices. She teaches at premier design institutes of the country, and her courses focus on design aspects of food sustainability and food-systems at large.

Sangeeta works as a nutritional consultant and trainer for individual clients from all over the world. She develops recipes suited for specific health conditions.
