Neelima is a nature enthusiast and a student of permaculture who is curious about natural systems and their influence on the culture of a place. Over the last 5 years, her urge to work in the environmental sector has led her to opportunities in the field of waste and water management in the city of Bangalore. She did her PDC at Aranya Agricultural Alternatives in 2020 followed by a 6 months internship with Aranya in community farms, which has helped her gain major insights into various kinds of life systems on Earth. She is constantly trying to inculcate her learning in her everyday life by pushing the boundaries of sustainability in an urban setting. She is currently working with Biome Environmental Trust in Bangalore where she is trying to understand what sustainable water management could mean in the current context of high technology and its influences on the urban, peri-urban and rural parts of the country.
